Household Actions

Household Actions allow the user to take action on a household to reflect actual changes within the household. Actions include assigning, unassigning, moving in, moving out, conveying, enrolling, and performing certifications:

  1. Assigning a unit to a household removes that unit from the unit vacancy report and allows the household to be easily moved in when the time comes.
  2. Unassigning a unit reverses the assignment and makes the unit available for another household to be assigned to. Keep in mind, the ledger account will not be removed when you unassign the household.
  3. Moving In a household to a unit in HDS Doorways changes a unit’s status to “Occupied” and a household’s status to “Tenant.”
  4. Moving Out a household from a unit changes the status of a unit back to “Vacant” and removes the “Tenant” status from the household. The ledger and all ledger history remain intact.
  5. Annual Certification allows the user to conduct an annual certification when the time comes for their required certification. Note: certain programs have certifications required at different times, but will still be called an annual certification.
  6. Interim Certification allows the user to conduct an interim certification for when a mid-year change occurs, such as the loss of a job or an addition of a dependent.
  7. Conveyance Eligible moves a unit to a conveyance eligible status and provides the user the opportunity to discontinue monthly charges.
  8. Convey Title conveys the household to a homeowner. Monthly charges will cease from this point forward. The user will need to choose to add monthly utilities to the household if these will continue.
  9. Enroll provides the opportunity to enroll a household in an enrollment program. These are used for non-unit programs.
