Household Notes
Doorways provides the ability to leave a note on the Household’s file. These can include questions, comments, concerns, ETC.
There are multiple ways to add a Household Note. Below, we have provided both a video demonstration as well as step-by-step instruction on three different ways you can add a Household Note.
From The Household:
From the Notes tab:
- Navigate to the household you want to create a note for.
- Click the “Notes” Tab:
- Select “Add Note”:
Note Categories:
When adding a note to a household you will be prompted to choose a category as follows:
- Alert – Every time this page is visited, a pop-up with the note will appear.
- Billing Statement – (definition).
- Cash Receipts – (definition).
- Collections – (definition).
- Other – Miscellaneous comments on a tenant/unit.
- Phone Call – (definition).
- Rent Change Notes – To make known that a rent change was made.
- Unit Turn – (definition).
- Waiting List – Notifying users of a change in waiting list status for a tenant.
Fill out the body of your note.
Click “Save.”
From the Household Overview:
- To create a new note, find the notes widget at the bottom of the household page you wish to comment on. Then click the “+” or new note button.
- A pop-up will appear prompting you to choose the “Note Category.” More information as to what each category pertains to is found above.
- Click inside the “body” section then begin typing your note.
- When finished typing the message of your note, click “OK,” and your note will be saved for all users and administrators to see on the tenant/unit page.
From the Tenant Ledger:
- To create a new note, find the notes widget at the bottom right of the tenant ledger page you wish to comment on. Then click the “+” or new note button.
- A pop-up will appear prompting you to choose the “Note Category.” More information as to what each category pertains to is found above.
- Click inside the “body” section then begin typing your note.
- When finished typing the message of your note, click “OK,” and your note will be saved for all users and administrators to see on the tenant/unit page.
Adding a Household Note From a Group:
- Navigate to the Groups area at the top of your screen:
- Select a group:
- Click on the pencil icon next to the Household to see or add notes:
- Click the plus icon in the upper right-hand corner to add a new note.
- Select the note type and fill out the body of the note.
- Click “Add”.
- Success! Your note will now show up for you here as well as in the Notes tab on the Household record.
Adding a Household Note From the Late Fees Area:
- Navigate to the Accounting tab in the Header:
- Click on the Late Fees tab:
- After filtering on the individuals who are receiving a late fee, select the Pencil Icon next to the one whose notes you need to see/add to:
- Click the Plus “+” icon in the top right
- Select your note category and fill out the body of your note.
- Click Add to the note.
- Success! Your note will now show up for you here as well as in the Notes tab on the Household record.
